Botswana - Okavango Delta - The Water

The Tide Is In

Water levels peak in July compressing wildlife onto islands as vast wetlands proliferate. Many areas of the delta are impassable to regular vehicle traffic. It creates perfect conditions for wildlife photographers.

Sitatunga Antelope

A male sitatunga. As permanent wetlands or swamp dwellers, they are very hard to approach. This image was taken from a helicopter.
