Camera Gear - Old & New

Wayne, Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia, 1977 with acrylic 120 roll film camera housing. Due to financial constraints, professional housings were not even contemplated. This one was lovingly handcrafted in my garage. The only store bought bits were the over-centre clips, flash cable , control knobs and o-rings. Camera - Kowa Super 66, 85mm lens - 12 frames per film roll.

Roll forward 40 years, a Nauticam system with 50 magical megapixels of Canon 5DsR. This rig is currently set up for close focus wide angle work with a Zen minidome, 8-15mm lens and 1.4X teleconverter. 500 + images, variable ISO, auto-focus, image preview - unimaginable in 1977.
